About Candid Coyote
I started Candid Coyote because I wanted a creative outlet where I could speak freely, openly, and honestly, all while trying to make a positive impact on people and the earth. Life is so much richer and more dynamic when having discussions about our experiences. I hope that my thoughts introduce a new perspective or connect to the readers own, as well as spark new ideas.

Travel has always been an important part of my existence. Going to new places and meeting new faces in those places makes me more connected to this earth. Every single place has a soul and identity, and I find joy in trying to understand each of these places. I think it's important to not be a tourist, but a traveler.

My role as an educator/teacher in a variety of settings has taught me that education is a vital tool for moving people towards empathetic and informed ways of thinking. If we can understand more about something, we are able to communicate better and make a more informed decisions. My experience teaching has also taught me so many life lessons and sparked so many new thoughts which I weave into my writing.

I have been vegan for about six years now, and my love of cooking yummy food with plants combined with my passion for being as kind to the world and its creatures as I can, has led me to post my favorite vegan/plant-based recipes on my blog. I hope you try them out and love them as much as I do!

Life is not about end goals. Life is about getting as much out of the journey as you can. Candid Coyote, to me, is all about trying to help others and myself live the most fulfilling and compassionate lives that they can. My words aren't perfect and never will be; They are candid.
I wish all the happiness and love in the world to all of my site visitors. I hope everyone lives with meaning and adventure!
